The Aurora University Spartan softball team traveled to Wheaton Friday afternoon and swept the Thunder (10-0 5 inn. and 7-3).

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE 
- The Spartans jumped out early in the 1st inning scoring four runs. Highlighted by back-to-back home runs from Ashley Talaga and Lexie Rayborn.
- Hannah Tomasko would come out the following half inning to retire the Thunder in order, striking out two.
- The Spartans would load the bases in the 3rd inning, Cassidy Rourke would bring them all home with her grand slam over the left field fence.
- AU would bring in 6 in the 3rd inning to make it 10-0 Spartans.
- That is all the Spartans would need as Tomasko would strike out 10 Thunder hitters in the 5 inning, 10-0 Spartan win.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- The Spartans were able to string together a few two out hits in the 1st inning to start the game 1-0 going into the bottom of the 1st.
- The Thunder were able to answer this time on a double that scored two runs. 2-1 Thunder.
- The Spartans would even the score 2-2 in the 2nd on three hits.
- Both offenses would go scoreless until the 4th when AU scored 3 on a triple from Brianna Lewis, Jemma Fiehweg single, and a sac fly from Aly Teixeira.
- Wheaton would come back and score one the following half inning. AU lead 5-3.
- The final runs would come in the 5th off another Fiehweg single that would score 2. 7-3 Spartans.
