HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set saw the Spartans and Stars go point for point until a late run by the home team allowed them to pull away to a 25-21 win.

Emmanuel Chaidez each had three kills in the opening set.
- Four kills from Chaidez and three from
Timothy Breiter in the second set were not enough as AU dropped the set 25-18.
- The Spartans fell in the third set 25-15 and dropped the match 3-0.
