The Aurora University men's lacrosse team improved to 11-0 all-time against Carthage College with a 9-8 non-conference victory on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game was scoreless for just over the first 9 minutes of the first quarter before Spartan Brody MacDonald broke the tie with a goal with 5:52 left.
- AU then scored three times in the final 1:22 including a goal with 1 second left to lead 4-1 after one.
- MacDonald scored twice and Mitchell Young scored for the four first quarter AU goals.
- In the second, a fourth goal from MacDonald gave AU a 5-2 lead before Harrison Canaday scored just before the half to give the Spartans a 6-2 lead going to half.
- Carthage scored twice to open the third before Canaday scored his second of the day with an assist from Dominic Diaz.
- Jimmy Gorecki scored with 11 seconds left in the third with an assist from Brody MacDonald.
- AU led 8-5 going to the final 15 minutes.
- Gorecki scored his second of the day in the fourth (3:20) with an assist from Zach Bernstein.
- Carthage scored a pair of goals in the final two minutes but the Spartan defense came up big in the final seconds to seal the one goal win.
- AU defeated Carthage 9-8.
