- AU took an early lead in the opening set but a MSOE run midway through proved to much to overcome in a 25-18 set loss.
- The Spartans fell behind quickly in the second set and lost 25-19 to go down 2-0 in the match.
- The third set saw AU come out strong and led until 13-12.
- AU would drop the set 25-18 and the match 3-0.
