The Aurora University men's lacrosse team traveled to University of Dubuque Monday afternoon. AU was victorious in the 9-7 game with the Spartans of AU claiming the battle of the Spartans.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU scored quickly in the first minute of the game on a goal from
Zach Bernstein.
- UD was quick to answer scoring one minute later to tie the game 1-1.
- Six minutes went by until
Dylan MacDonald broke the tie and Bernstein adding another a minute later to extend the lead to 3-1.
- UD would score the last goal of the quarter. 3-2 AU

Phillip Gianelle was perfect in the second quarter not allowing a goal, AU was not able to score as well taking a one point 3-2 lead into half.
- AU came out to start the second half with two goals from
Harrison Canaday and
Joseph Dey.
- UD would score to cut the lead to two, but Bernstein would score his third of the game to stretch the lead back to three.
- UD would score another with two minutes left in the quarter to make it a 6-4 game going into the 4th.
- The teams would trade goals to start the quarter with Canaday scoring another, this time assisted by
Dominic Diaz.

Brody MacDonald got in on the scoring with 10 minutes left in the game to give AU an 8-5 lead.
- Canady added another with 4 minutes left in the game.
- UD scored two at the end of the game, but AU came out with the 9-7 victory.
