Aurora University freshman sophomore Monique Gibson was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Offensive Player of the Week. 

Gibson earned the honor after she had nine points last week, tallying seven goals and two assists. She scored six goals and assisted on two others while picking up three ground balls and causing two turnovers in a 16-7 win at Carthage College. Gibson added a goal, a ground ball, three draw controls, and a caused turnover in an 18-5 loss at University of Chicago.

On the season, Gibson has a team-leading 25 points on 20 goals and five assists. 

Next action for the Spartan women's lacrosse team comes on Wednesday, March 31 when they host Illinois Institute of Technology. Game time is set for 4:00 pm at Spartan Athletic Park in Montgomery, Illinois.
