Spartans defeated at home in OT

The Aurora University women's soccer team hosted Benedictine University Sunday afternoon. The Spartans were defeated by the Eagles 3-2 in OT.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Benedictine scored two early goals in the third and fourth minutes of the game to go up 2-0.
- In the 31st minutes of the game Anessa Munoz found the back of the net to cut the lead in half. 2-1.
- Early in the second-half, AU tied the game. Freshman Mikayla Spiering tied the game up in the 53rd minute with a banger from 30 yards out off a free kick.
- The teams remained tied 2-2 and headed to overtime.
- In the 98th minute the Eagles scored to win the game 3-2.
