- The first goal was scored in the 53rd minute of the game by Andrew Grabowski assisted by Rolando Martinez.
- The Spartans did not have the lead too long as the Stars scored in the 60th minute to tie it up.
- The Spartans had the only shot on goal in OT, but was not able to find the back of the net.
- The game would end in a 1-1 tie.
