The Aurora University men's lacrosse team hosted Milwaukee School of Engineering Tuesday night for the first round of the NACC Tournament. The Spartans defeated the Raiders 13-10 to advance to the NACC Tournament Final.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams struggled to score in the first quarter with the lone goal coming from Spartan
Harrison Canaday midway through the quarter.
- AU goalie and reigning NACC player of the week
Phillip Gianelle was stellar in goal in the opening frame.
- The Raiders scored early in the second quarter to tie the game at 1-1.
- Spartans
Jimmy Gorecki and
Dominic Diaz scored back-to-back goals for AU, separated by just seven seconds.
- The Raiders would score three unanswered goals to end the half and take the lead 4-3.

Joseph Dey tied the game 4-4 to start the second half.
- Canaday and Dey would each score another before Spartan
Mikail Byun joined in on the scoring to put AU up 7-4.
- MSOE would score a goal with seven minutes remaining, but Dey would quickly answer with one of his own.
- MSOE would score two goals before the end of the quarter, but each one was followed up by a Spartan goal from Gorecki.
- The Spartans would take a 10-7 lead into the final quarter.
- The Raiders scored the first goal in the 4th, but Byun would find the back of the net again for the Spartans.
- Just like the 3rd, MSOE scored two goals only to have Spartans Canaday and Gorecki extend the Spartan lead.
- Spartans win 13-10.
