The Aurora University Spartan softball team traveled to River Forest and Concordia University Chicago on Friday afternoon for the final road conference doubleheader of the season. The Spartans swept the Cougars, winning game one 9-2 and game two 11-1.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE 
- Through the first three innings, AU had the only two base runners who both reached on errors.
- Spartan Aly Teixeira led off the fourth with a double and singles from Delilah Aguirre, Ashley Talaga and Jordan Seyfried in front of a sac fly from Cassidy Rourke and AU led 3-0.
- CUC scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the inning.
- Five Spartans singles in the fifth led to four AU runs. AU led 7-2.
- Two singles and a CUC error led to two more AU runs in the top of the seventh.
- Hannah Tomasko nailed down the seventh for a complete game win as AU won 9-2.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- AU fell behind 1-0 in the bottom of the first and the inning ended with Jemma Fiehweg throwing out a Cougar trying to score at the plate from left field.
- With two outs and no one on in the third, the Spartan offense went to work. Five straight Spartans reached with Aly Teixeira driving in two with a double.
- AU led 3-1 after 2-1/2 innings.
- With Taylor Shaw keeping the Cougar bats quiet, AU added one run each in the fourth and fifth to lead 5-1.
- Two out offense came to life again in the sixth for the Spartans. Teixeira drove in Brianna Lewis and Josephine Lytton with a double and AU led 7-1.
- A lead-off home run from Delilah Aguirre started the seventh and sparked a big AU inning.
- Four more hits followed and when the inning was over, AU led 11-1 and would be the final score.
