The Aurora University men's volleyball team traveled to Benedictine University in the semi-final round of the NACC Tournament Thursday night. The Spartans were defeated by the Eagles in three sets, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans came out hot in the first set going on a 5-0 run to go up 7-2 with
Thomas Kovanic serving two aces during the run.
- The Eagles would keep the set close and tie it up at 21-21.
- The teams would trade points, but BU would score the final two to take the first set 25-23.
- The Spartans fell behind early in set two 12-5.
- Justin Elliot had back-to-back kills to close the gap and bring the Spartans back in the game. Still down 15-12.
- That was the closest the Spartans would get in set two as BU would pull away and win 25-19.
- The Eagles would jump out to an early lead again in set three.

Timothy Breiter would serve up an ace to try and bring the Spartans back, but the Eagles would take the final set 25-20.
