The Aurora University men's volleyball team traveled to Benedictine University in the semi-final round of the NACC Tournament Thursday night. The Spartans were defeated by the Eagles in three sets, 25-23, 25-19, 25-20.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans came out hot in the first set going on a 5-0 run to go up 7-2 with Thomas Kovanic serving two aces during the run.
- The Eagles would keep the set close and tie it up at 21-21.
- The teams would trade points, but BU would score the final two to take the first set 25-23.
- The Spartans fell behind early in set two 12-5.
- Justin Elliot had back-to-back kills to close the gap and bring the Spartans back in the game. Still down 15-12.
- That was the closest the Spartans would get in set two as BU would pull away and win 25-19.
- The Eagles would jump out to an early lead again in set three.
- Timothy Breiter would serve up an ace to try and bring the Spartans back, but the Eagles would take the final set 25-20.
