The Aurora University Spartan softball team hosted University of Chicago Tuesday evening in their final regular season games of the season. The Spartans were defeated in both games by scores of 3-0 and 5-0 as timely hitting with runners in scoring position went silent.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME ONE 
- UC got on the board in the second on a solo home run.
- In the 2nd, Delilah Aguirre and Ashley Talaga led the inning off with back-to-back singles, but the Spartans were unable to bring them home.
- The Maroons scored two on three hits in the 5th.
- The Spartans loaded the bases in the bottom of the 5th with two outs, but the UC defense was able to work out of the jam.
- In the final frame the Spartans brought the winning run up to the plate, but the Chicago pitching kept the Spartans off the board.
- Spartans lose 3-0.

SPARTAN HIGHLIGHTS - GAME TWO
- Spartan pitcher Taylor Shaw kept the Chicago offense off balance in the first three innings of the game.
- UC got on the board in the 4th inning on two hits. 
- In the 6th, the Phoenix scored two more on five hits.
- Spartan Brianna Lewis tripled to start the inning. Timely UC pitching and defense would strand her there to keep the shutout.
- The Maroons brought home one more in the 7th to make it 5-0.
- Spartans lose 5-0.
