Julie Galauner continued to add to her lengthy all around accomplishments as a Spartan on Thursday as she was named to the CoSIDA District VII Academic All-District team. Galauner was selected to the women's basketball first-team for her combined performances in the classroom and on the court.
CoSIDA Academic All-District teams are selected by CoSIDA member sports information directors within the district based on the student-athletes' academic prowess while being a steady influence on their respective athletic field. To be considered for the honor, the nominated student-athletes are required to maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average throughout their academic career at AU. Galauner will now move on to the Academic All-America selection process.

Galauner is a Parks and Recreation Leadership major with a perfect 3.92 grade point average while having many accolades in her career thus far. Currently second on the AU all-time scoring list, Galauner was named a 2020-2021 D3hoops.com All-Region honoree after having been selected as the South Division Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference after averaging a team and NACC leading 23.0 points per game with 6.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.0 steals per game. She shot 41.3-percent from the field and 39.1-percent from three-point range. Through the end of the season, she is second on the all-time list with 1,617 points as she is on a quest to catch the 1,693 points by Dana Lettow. She is a three-time all-region selection, four-time NACC all-conference honoree and will be a four-time NACC and AU scholar-athlete.
