The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2021 All-Academic track and field honors which recognizes teams and individuals for their success both academically and athletically..
The Aurora University men's and women's track and field team were each one of 373 NCAA men's and women's teams that earned All-Academic honor, 213 women's and 160 men's teams. The Spartan men ended the season with a 3.37 and the women had a 3.32 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
In order to be in contention for USTFCCCA Scholar Team of the Year, a program must finish highly at the respective national championship meet and have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.
Individually, Spartan student-athletes
Robbie Peterson and
Peter Rudelich qualified for the USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. To qualify, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
- Finished the indoor season ranked in the national top-96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-48 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.
