The Aurora University Spartan football team took on their second highly ranked opponent on the road in as many weeks, this time the No 4 Carindals of North Central College. AU was upended by the Cardinals 64-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU won the coin toss and deferred to the second-half.
- Trailing 7-0, an AU turnover ended the first possession for the Spartans in the game.
- The Spartans trailed 21-0 going to the second quarter.
- Midway through the second quarter the AU offense got going on the ground with a 25 yard scamper from
Gavin Zimbelman and 12 yards on back to back runs from
Tyran Bailey. After a 28 yard completion from Zimbelman to
Colton Jewell, AU was in the red zone at the NCC 14.
- On the next play, a Zimbelman pass to
Brock Harner was intercepted, thrwarting the AU scoring chance.
- After a missed NCC field goal, the AU offense again drove the field late in the second quarter, but a fourth down and one try was not successful.
- AU trailed going to halftime 34-0.
- After three quarters, AU trailed 44-0.
- In the fourth, the AU defense forced a turnover deep in NCC territory as
Christian Nussbaum scooped up the loose ball and returned it two yards to the five yard line.
- On the second play,
Tyran Bailey found pay dirt from five yards out and AU trailed 51-7.
- Two AU fumbles led to two more NCC scores in the fourth quarter.
- The Spartans fell to North Central 64-7.
