HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans jumped out quickly in the 37th minute of the contest when Emma Aguilar scored on a pass from Abby Kay. 
- AU kept the pressure on the Cardinals with several shots on goal but none of them finding the back of the net.
- The Spartans maintained the 1-0 lead into halftime.
- The first shot of the second half found the back of the AU net and the Cardinals tied the game 1-1.
- While AU had a couple scoring chances, North Central controlled the second-half and overtimes.
- The Spartans would fall 2-1 in double overtime
