The Aurora University men's basketball team had five players score in double figures, led by a near triple-double from
Shamar Pumphrey, in a convincing 95-75 victory on Wednesday night over Edgewood College.

- The Spartans trailed for a good part of the first 14 minutes of the first-half.
- A 13-5 AU run from the 10:45 mark to the 5:23 mark of the first-half gave AU a lead they would no give back.
- Back to back jumpers in the lane from
Nathan Yockey and
Nolan Boffman put the Spartans ahead 31-28.
- After an Edgewood basket put AU up one at 31-30, the Spartans closed out the final five minutes on a 17-5 run.

Terreon Hopkins scored eight points in the end of the first-half run as AU went to halftime up 48-35.
- AU continued their hot play early in the second-half, pressuring the Eagles and getting baskets at will.
- A pair of free-throws from Yockey with 14:51 left in the second put AU up 22 at 61-39.
- The Spartan lead hung around 20 points for the second-half with the largest lead of 23 coming with 5:37 left in the game..
- The 23 point mark was reached one more time when Dwayne Jervier, Jr. had a monster dunk in the final seconds. (
