Spartans soar above Eagles of Edgewood

The Aurora University women's basketball team won their fourth contest in a row on Tuesday night with a 78-65 victory at Edgewood College.

How it happened
- The Spartans used a 15-1 run after being down 4-2 to grad a large early lead. 
- Julie Galauner scored seven of the AU points in the game controlling run.
- AU would go on to lead 25-14 after one quarter.
- Midway through the second, five points from Gabby Moore and a bucket from Eliot Dojutrek gave the Spartans their largest lead of 18 at 37-19.
- The Spartans went to halftime with a 44-27 lead.
- The AU lead was cut to eight in the third but the Spartans had an answer to go back up 15 following a Savannah Johnson layup.
- After three quarters, AU led 61-49.
- Sam Barrett opened up the fourth with a three to push the lead to 15 at 64-49.
- AU never allowed Edgewood to get any closer than eight points in the fourth and answering each Edgewood run with one of their own to control the game.
- Eliot Dojutrek scored the games final five points to finish with a game high 20 points.
- The Spartans were victorious 78-65.
