For a fifth straight game the Aurora University Spartan defense scored a touchdown and the offense clicked on all cylinders, knocking off Eureka Colege 72-13 on Saturday night.

- AU took the opening kick and three plays later led 7-0 when
Josh Swanson hit
Ty Pruett on a six-yard score.
- The Spartan defense forced a three and out and the offense scored in five plays on their second drive to lead 14-0.
Trey Madsen scored on a Swanson pass this time.
- The next AU drive would last a bit longer, 10 plays but would be stalled inside the Eureka 10 yard line.

Ben Slatcoff and the AU defense gave the offense the ball back with an interception at the Eureka 20 and returned it four yards.
- Two plays later, Swanson found
Michael Boland for a 21-0 lead.

Conner Nordmeyer made another quick change play, intercepting a pass and returning 20 yards to the EC 13.
- Swanson connected with Pruett on the second play for the second time and AU led 28-0.

Conner Nordmeyer forced a fumble and recovered it in the endzone for a defensive score and AU led 35-0.
- Midway through the second, the offense put a drive together. 10-plays and 77 yards in 4:32 finished with a Swanson touchdown pass to Madsen. AU led 42-0.
- The defense gave the offense the ball back one more time with 2:16 left in the half.
- The offense marched 75 yards in 11 plays with Swanson scoring from one yard out with 28 seconds left.
- AU went to halftime leading 49-0.
- On the first possession of the second-half, the offense continued to dominate.
Jhe'Quay Chretin dashed 33 yards for a score and AU led 56-0.
- The running game of Chretin and
Ta'vion Geanes combined for 49 yards and a Chretin score on the next drive and AU led 63-0.
- Eureka scored in the third and fourth to make the score 63-13 AU.
- Midway through the fourth, the defense scored again, this time a safety and AU was up 65-13.
Isaiah Perrin made the stop in the end zone.

Ian Luyando took off on the ground on the last drive of the game for the Spartans. His rushing score put AU up 72-13.
