The Aurora University women's volleyball team had their hands full with the Muskies of Lakeland University on Friday night with the Spartans battling to a 3-1 NACC win.

-.\The first set saw the Spartans and Muskies trade leads with AU trailing 19-15.
- A 7-1 AU run capped off with a Sydnei Avery kill put the Spartans ahead 22-20.
- Extra time would be in order though and on the third set point the Spartans won 29-27 thanks to a Muskie attack error.
- Lakeland jumped on AU in the second set and won 25-21.
- The Spartans rebounded in the third set, leading the entire way and winning 25-19.
- Kaitlyn Beebe had 12 assists, feeding five different teammates for multiple kills and adding two of her own.
- AU fell behind 9-4 in the fourth set and a fifth set appeared to be on the horizon.
- An 11-3 AU run and several aces from Kaycie Wenzel pushed the Spartans to a 15-12 lead.
- A Kate Poellmann kill gave AU a 21-16 lead but the seatbelts were needed for the crowd.
- Lakeland used a 5-0 run to tie the set before an Addy Gruse kill ended the momentum.
- AU faced set point at 23-24 but managed to break and an ace from Wenzel put AU ahead 25-24.
- Another big kill from Gruse gave AU the 26-25 lead and after a Muskie error, AU won 27-25.
