Aurora University senior running back
Jhe'Quay Chretin was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Offensive Players of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.
Chretin earned the honor by carrying the work load on the ground in AU's 20-13 victory over Benedictine University. He rushed 30 times for 209 yards, a career high while averaging 7.0 yards per rush. While he didn't find the end zone, he helped set up a pair of touchdowns that allowed the Spartans to come from behind and win. His two-point conversion carry put the Spartans up 20-13 late in the fourth. He had 160 yards on the ground in the second-half on 25 carries (6.4 yards per rush).
On the season, Chretin has 903 yards on 138 carries and eight touchdowns while adding 17 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown.
Next action for the Spartan football team comes on Saturday, November 5 when they host Lakeland University. Kick-off is slated for 1:00 p.m. at Spartan Athletic Park in Montgomery, Illinois.
