The Aurora University Spartans women's wrestling team had a strong showing at the Albion College Invitational on Sunday, November 20. Four Spartans finished in the top four of their weight class brackets with freshman Alexis Janiak winning the 130 bracket.
RESULT: AU finished sixth out of 10 scoring teams with 35.5 points

- Alexis Janiak won the 130 bracket with two tech falls and a 16-12 decision in the final.
- Natasha Markoutsis finished third in the 130 bracket with a 4-1 record including a fall in the third-plpace match.
- Bethany Regione finished fourth in the 130 bracket with a 3-2 record.
- Camile Neuman finished fourth in the 109 bracket with a 2-2 record.
Next action for the Spartan women's wrestling team comes on Sunday, December 11 when they compete at the North Central College Open. First match is slated for 9:00 a.m. in Naperville, Illinois.
