The Aurora University women's basketball team opened up the 2022-2023 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule with a drubbing of the Hawks of Illinois Institute of Technology. AU won easily, 95-60.

Selena Vargas and never were tied or trailed again.
- AU held their largest first quarter lead of seven on a jumper from
Sam Barrett with 3:26 left to go.
- The Spartans led 23-19 after one quarter.
- A 6-0 Spartan run with back to back fast break layups from
Macy Kocen pushed the lead to 10 at 29-19.
- IIT answered with an 8-0 run before
Kylie Fischbach made a jumper to put AU up four midway through the second.
- AU ended the first-half on a 12-2 run and led 43-31 going to half.
- The third quarter saw the Spartans continue to run with layup after layup, leading by as many as 26 on a
Talia Bee layup.
