Spartan split road battle against Bethel University

The Aurora University women's hockey team returned to the ice for game two of the non-conference series against Bethel University. A late Royals goal with 22 seconds left in the third period resulted in a 3-2 Spartan loss.

How it happened
 - Eight minutes into the first period, Bethel found the back of the AU net to take a 1-0 lead over the Spartans. 
 - Five minutes later, the Royals extended their lead to 2-0 with seven minutes remaining in the first-period.
 - The Spartans outshot the Royals 19-10, but were unable to capitalize on any scoring opportunities before heading into the first intermission. 
 - Ten minutes into the second period, Spartan Darci Matson located the back of the Bethel net to cut the Royal's lead in half to 2-1. Matson was assisted by Madison Gasper and Marisa Trevino. 
- The Spartans would go into intermission trailing Bethel 2-1.
- Midway through the third period, the Spartans tied the contest with a goal from Haley Knauf, her first of the season. She was assisted by Madison Gasper.
- With 22 seconds left in the third period, Bethel capitalized on a Spartan penalty to take a 3-2 lead.
- The game would end 3-2 Bethel.
