- The Spartans got off to a slow start, trailing 16-2 3:55 into the first quarter.

Crystal Rios three cut the deficit down to eight, the Spartans had to battle back with Elmhurst going up 15 at 25-10 with just under two minutes on the first quarter clock.

- With a Rios basket late in the first quarter, the Spartans had a 14-1 run to the 4:59 mark of the second to pull within one at 29-28.
