The Aurora University women's hockey team hosted the fifth annual Toys for Tots "Teddy Bear Toss" on Saturday afternoon against Lawrence University. The Spartans continued their winning ways with a 11- 1 victory over the visiting Vikings.

- The Spartans opened up the scoring frenzy with three goals in the first five minutes of the first period.

Aurora Williams got the Spartans on the board 1:54 into the first period. She was assisted by
Haley Knauf and
Rachel Campoli.
- Less than a minute later,
Ava Eid extended the Spartans lead 2-0. Eid was assisted by
Darci Matson and Marissa Trevino.
- 4:55 into the first,
Peyton Elliott joined in on the scoring action. Elliott recorded her tally on assists from
Ellie Visser and
Rachel Campoli.
- Lawrence got on the broad midway through the period.
- Before the end of the first,
Peyton Elliott added her second point of the day with an assist from
Melina Cane.
- AU led 4-1 heading into the first intermission.
- The Spartans came out in the second period flying around and controlling the action adding four goals.
- Early in the second, Matson (unassisted), Elliott (Gallenero assist), and Visser (Eid and Cane assists) all recorded power play tallies. Elliott would earn her first hat trick of the season.
- With five minutes remaining in the period,
Erin Campbell would score an unassisted tally to give the Spartans a 8-1 lead.
- In the third, Matson (unassisted), Gasper (Cane and Visser assists), and Cooke ( Davies assist) all recorded tallies and the Spartans were victorious 11-1.
