The Aurora University men's hockey team returned to the ice after a long December break and fell to the visiting Cobbers of Concordia College 4-1.

- AU went to the power play 1:32 into the game but just 13 seconds later, Concordia scored a short-handed goal for a 1-0 lead.
- The Spartans managed to tie the game with 6:21 left in the first. Derrick Budz had the equalizer with helpers from Jack Jaunich and Juliano Santalucia.
- The game remained tied going to the first intermission, 1-1.
- 7:12 into the second, Concordia scored on an odd-man rush to go ahead 2-1 which would remain the score heading to the third.
- In the third, the visitors scored twice at 10:23 and 15:18, both on the power play for a 4-1 lead.
- The Spartand would fall to the Cobbers 4-1.
