  - The Spartans got off to a fast start and led 18-10 five minutes into the first quarter.
  - Free throws and a lot of them in the opening quarter was the story early on.
  - AU led 26-21 after one quarter.
  - To start the second, the Spartans went on a 10-0 run to lead 36-21.Â
  - The Spartans continued to out shoot the Sabres and led 43-31 going into halftime.
  - With 2:15 left in the third quarter, AU led by 16 at 56-40.
  - Five different Spartans scored in the third.
  - The Spartans coasted in the fourth quarter and built the largest lead of 28 with 1:12 to go.
  - AU won 87-61 on senior day.
