The Aurora University men's track and field team placed fifth at the Sol Butler Classic hosted by the University of Dubuque. The Spartans had seven top-ten in school history performances and 14 PRs.
Eli Grundman won pole vault, breaking his own school record. His vault of 4.65m (15'3) is a new lifetime best and number one in AU history. Grundman is currently ranked 28
th in the nation.
Steven Tinsley won shot put with a PR of 15.42m (50'7.25"). This mark moves Tinsley up to fourth in program history and 21
st in the nation.
Jacob Bohnert won the 800, running his fastest indoor time of 1:57.33. That is the second fastest indoor time in school history.
Robbie Peterson Jr. placed third in high jump with his lifetime best of 2.00m (6'6.75"). This moves him up to fourth in school history. This mark also ranks him 26
th in the nation.
The 4x200 relay team of
Malik Whitehead,
Jonathan Conwell,
Jarrell Mays, and White placed first in 1:35.19. This time ranks them third in program history.
Danyrine White placed third in the 400, running an indoor PR. His time of 50.53 ranks him third in AU history.
In the 3K,
Cris Valencia placed second in his heat running his fastest time of 9:31.93.
Steve Kalish,
Lucas Alvarez, and
Francis Balquin all ran PRs in the mile.

the 800.
Arturo Sosa and
Nick Tannhauser had PRs in weight throw.
