The Aurora University women's hockey team skated their way to a 4-1 victory over the Marian University Sabres on Friday afternoon at the Fox Valley Ice Arena.

- Spartan Olivia Matson played in her 100th career game.
- The win, AU's 17th ties a school record previously set in the 2019-2020 season.


- At 4:16 of the first period and one minute into a penalty kill, the Spartans struck while shorthanded.
- Senior Olivia Matson, playing in her 100th game scored the shorty. Peyton Elliott assisted on the goal.
- AU would out shoot Marian 16-4 in the first period but lead 1-0 after 20 minutes.
- The Spartans carried 39 seconds of power play time to start the second and 10 seconds after heading to even strength, they scored to go up 2-0.
- Marisa Trevino found the back of the net with a helper from Makenna Brownlee.
- With 3:23 left in the second and 21 seconds into a power play, AU struck again.
- Trevino scored her second of the day with Elliott collecting her second assist.
- AU led 3-0 after two while holding a 43-11 advantage on shots on net.
- The Spartans increased the lead early in the third. Rachel Campoli stuffed home a rebound with an assist from Olivia Buzzelli. 
- With 1:59 left in the game, Marian scored while short handed to break up the Spartan shutout bid.
- AU won 4-1.
