Spartans open California trip with four set loss

The Aurora University men's volleyball team.opened up their west coast swing in California at California Lutheran University The Spartans battled but fell in four sets.

How it happened
- The Spartans hit just .188 in the opening set while Cal Lutheran hit .400 and AU fell 25-17.
- The second set was similar to the opener with AU hitting slightly better but so did the hosts.
- AU trailed 17-14 but got out scored 8-2 down the stretch and fell 25-16.
- The Spartans trailed by three midway through the third set but embarked on a 6-0 run to grab a 14-11 lead.
- AU saw their lead get cut to one on several occasions down the stretch but both times got big kills from Solomon Dial and Thomas Kovanic to maintain the lead.
- Behind a .364 hit percentage, AU won the third set 25-21.
- The Spartans trailed throughout the fourth set before falling 25-19 and losing 3-1.
