The Aurora University baseball team needed to come from behind and extra innings to win game one against Luther College and then road the momentum in game two to complete the sweep of the day, winning 9-8 (10 innings) and 7-3.

Game One
- Luther scored once in the first on a wild pitch from AU starter
Nick Malmberg.
- In the third, Luther added six runs on a two-run single, two-run double and two-run home run.
- After 2-1/2 innings, AU trailed 7-0.
- AU got on the board in the fourth with
Dylan White scoring on a
Nico Bermeo single.
- Malmberg settled in and tossed six innings despite giving up the one big inning.
- In the bottom of the sixth, the AU offense awoke. A walk, two singles and a sac fly plated two runs and forced the Norse to the pen.

Jett Wedekind drove in two on a single and
Corey Vondra scored on a wild pitch and AU was down one at 7-6.
- Luther added one run in the seventh for an 8-6 score which carried into the eighth.
- In the eighth,
Nick Baldassano led off with a single and with one-out
Jett Wedekind singled.
- With two outs the duo pulled off a double steal. On the very next pitch,
Justin Sartori lined a single off the pitcher which went into right field, allowing both Spartans to score and tie the game.
- The game headed into extra innings tied 8-8.
- In the bottom of the 10th, the Spartans struck.
Corey Vondra led off with a single and moved to second on a sac bunt from Wedekind. After a walk to
Dylan White,
Justin Sartori drove in his third run in his final two at bats for the game winner.
- AU won 9-8 in 10.

- Both teams threatened in the first three innings but no runs crossed the dish.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Colin Meinert singled and scored on a
Nico Bermeo double. Two batters later, Bermeo scored on a ground out from
Nick Baldassano and AU led 2-0.
- AU added another run in the fifth with a lead off bunt single from
Corey Vondra and he evetually came around to score for a 3-0 lead.
- Three Spartans doubles in the sixth led to three more runs and a 6-0 lead.
Jack Seefeldt, Baldassano and Vondra all doubled and
Jett Wedekind singled to score Vondra but was thrown out trying to stretch his long single into a double.
- Luther broke up the shutout attempt in the seventh plating two runs.Â
- AU starter
Jack Fisher gave way to
Sam Harvey in the inning.

Jacob Ambuel doubled and scored an insurance run in the eighth for the Spartans who now led 7-2.
- ALec Strupp came on in the ninth for AU, allowing an unearned run and struck out two.
