The Aurora University women's lacrosse team dominated action from the opening draw in a 16-5 victory over Carroll University on a chilly Saturday afternoon at the Spartan Athletic Park.

- The Spartans took just 1:12 to take the lead with Brianna Peck scoring on an assist from Kara O'Connell.
- Two goals from Jalyn Yaukovitz and one from Hannah Martindale put AU up 4-0 with 2:48 left in the first.
- Carroll broke up their scoreless run with 1:21 left.
- With seconds left (:08), Spartan Margaret Flanagan got in on the scoring fun with a goal off a Danielle Cobbett assist.
- AU led 5-1 after one quarter.
- The Spartans would score four times in the second period, out-scoring Carroll 4-1 to lead 9-2.
- The second quarter goals came from Yaukovitz, giving her a hat trick, Martindale, Cobbett and Monique Gibson.
- AU led 9-2 going to halftime.
- Early in the third, the AU lead grew to 10-2 on a second goal of the day from Peck.
- Carroll scored the final three goals of the third to cut the AU lead to 10-5 after three quarters.
- The fourth quarter was all Spartans as the hosts scored six times and enacted the running clock being up 10 goals.
- Gibson scored twice for her hat trick while Martindale scored twice for her third and fourth of the game. Kara O'Connell got in on the scoring fun with Yaukovitz finishing the scoring with her fourth of the afternoon.
