The Aurora University women's lacrosse team fell behind in the first-half and despite leaving all they had on the field, the Spartans came up just shy in a 14-11 loss at Chapman University in Orange, California on Saturday.

- Midway through the first quarter, AU trailed 3-0.
- Two goals 23 seconds a part for AU at 6:41 and 6:18 of the first from Monique Gibson and Caley Russell got the Spartans some momentum.
- Russell scored her second of the day with 1:12 left in the first to bring AU to down 5-3.
- AU was out scored 4-3 in the second to trail 9-6 going to halftime.
- Brianna Peck, Bailey Simpson and Danielle Cobbett scored the second quarter goals for AU.
- Cobbett scored the lone AU goal in the third as AU trailed 11-7 after three quarters.
- Cobbett tallied a hat trick early in the fourth and a goal from Peck pulled AU to down two at 12-9.
- After a Chapman goal, Jalyn Yaukovitz and Gibson scored to bring AU down two at 13-11 with 6:25 left to play.
- Chapman scored the only goal in the final 6:25 for the 14-11 final score.
