Spartan Peterson qualifies for 2022 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship

The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships slated for March 11-12 at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Aurora University junior jumper Robbie Peterson qualified to compete in the triple jump at the 2022 Championship. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. (est) / 1:00 p.m. (cst).

Peterson qualified with a mark of 14.59m (47'10-1/2") in the triple jump, a distance that places him 15th entering the NCAA field. Peterson will take part in his third NCAA Championship event with the previous two coming as a member of the AU football program.

For each men's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each women's individual event contested, including the pentathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 12 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
