AU men finish fifth at Warrior Invite

The Aurora University men's track and field team finished fifth with 65 points at the Warrior Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College.
 
Robbie Peterson Jr. won both triple and long jump. His PR of 6.97m (22' 10.5") in long jump is now third in school history.

Steven Tinsley placed fourth in shot put and fifth in discus. His PR of 45.05m (47' 10") in discus is fourth in school history.

Cris Valencia won the 10K dropping over 30 seconds off his previous PR. His time of 33:51.59 is ninth fastest in AU history.
 
Eli Grundman PR'd in the 200 with a time of 23.71.
 
Eric Teverbaugh ran his fastest time of 57.71 in the 400.
 
Jordan Phillips PR'd in the 110-meter hurdles in 18.33.
 
In the 5K, Sam Brown placed sixth with a time of 16:11.16 while Francis Balquin ran a lifetime PR of 17:01.80.
 
Next action for the Spartan men's track and field team is Saturday, April 23 when they compete at the Don Church Twilight hosted by Wheaton College.
