The Aurora University men's lacrosse team completed the sweep of the day in lacrosse action against the visiting Marian University Sabres with AU being victorious by a 15-5 final score.

RECORDS: Aurora University 6-5 overall and 2-0 NACC


- The Spartans scored three times in the first 4:16 with Brody Macdonald assisting on goals from Zach Bernstein and Mikail Byun while Jimmy Gorecki scored off a Reilan Pura assist.
- With 5:08 left in the first, Bernstein scored his second of the day on an assist from Ben Strub.
- Macdonald got in on the goal scoring fun with an unassisted tally.
- The AU defense and goalie Phillip Gianelle stifled the Marian offense through 15 minutes of play.
- Marian opened the second on a man-up and scored to cut the score to 5-1.
- The AU offense was not done though as Bernstein and Gorecki (two) each scored to collect hat trick in the second.
- Gorecki's hat trick tally came on a well run fast break by Dan Lada who found a wide open Gorecki who buried home the shot.
- Ben Strub and a pair of goals from Andrew Bittner put the Spartans in front 11-2 going to halftime. Mitchell Young assisted on one of the Bittner goals.
- The third quarter saw both teams score three goals each.
- AU got tallies from Bernstein and two more from Gorecki to lead 14-5 after three. 
- AU's Andy Trenary scored the only goal for either side in the fourth
- AU won 15-5 and out shot Marian by 25 shots on the day 56 to 31.
