Six members of the Aurora University baseball program were recognized by D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings when the organizations announced the 2022 All-Region Teams. AU first baseman Justin Sartori led the way being named the Region 8 Position Player of the Year by D3baseball.com.

Spartans receiving First-Team All-Region recognition were Sartori by both D3baseball.com and ABCA while senior outfielder Corey Vondra was a First-Team selection by the ABCA and Second-Team by D3baseball.com. Catcher Jett Wedekind and outfielder Dylan White were Second-Team All-Region selections by both organizations while designated hitter Jacob Ambuel and pitcher Jack Fisher were Second-Team selections by D3baseball.com.

Sartori earned the D3baseball.com Region 8 Position Player of the Year and First-Team All-Region honors after being named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Position Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. He finished the 2022 campaign with a .375 batting average, 12 home runs, two triples, 18 doubles, 59 runs scored and a new AU single season record 70 runs batted in while also finishing with a .677 slugging, .461 on-base and .997 fielding percentage.. 

Vondra was named a First-Team All-Region outfielder by ABCA and Second-Team by D3baseball as he finished 2022 hitting .385 with 15 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 61 runs scored and 36 runs batted in. He ended the campaign with 80 hits, a .432 on-base and .534 slugging.

Wedekind, White, Ambuel and Fisher round out the Spartans earning Second-Team All-Region recognition by one or both of the organizations. Wedekind had a .342 average with 10 home runs, one triple, 13 doubles, 59 runs scored and 45 runs batted in while having a .587 slugging and .448 on-base. Also, Wedekind had a .995 fielding percentage behind the plate which included gunning down 18 would be base stealers. White finished 2022 with a .346 batting average, 10 doubles, six triples, six home runs, 44 runs batted in and 52 runs scored. Ambuel had a .383 batting average, 18 doubles, one triple, six home runs, 56 runs batted in and 53 runs scored. Fisher finished the 2022 season with a 7-1 record, one save, a 2. e79arned run average in 77.1 innings pitched, striking out 64 and opponents hit .224 against him.

The Spartans finished the 2022 season with a 36-11 overall record and made the 24th appearance overall and fourth consecutive NCAA Division III Regional appearance. The Spartans earned their place in the 2022 NCAA Division III Championships after winning the 2021 Northern Athletics Conference Conference (NACC) regular season.
