The Aurora University men's soccer team traveled to Milikin University Thursday afternoon. The Spartans were victorious 4-2 in their season opener.

- The Spartans started the scoring early in the 7th minute when Gio Villegas scored the first goal of the season with Cristian Correa on the assist.
- The Spartan lead was short lived as Milikin scored their first goal on a penalty kick to tie it at 1-1 in the 8th minute.
- In the 25th minute, Spartan Anthony Marmolejo broke the tie with his unassisted goal.
- The Spartans extended the lead on a penalty kick from Eduardo Carrillo. 3-1 Spartans.
- In the 53rd minute, Marmolejo found the back of the net for the second time, this time with help from fellow Spartans Connor Erickson and Brandon Dolezal.
- The Milikin Big Blue scored their second goal of the game in the 66th minute, but their comeback efforts would be too late.
