The Aurora University women's soccer team traveled to North Central College Thursday evening for their first matchup of the season. The Spartans were defeated 1-0 by the Cardinals.

- Spartan goalkeeper Kelsey Deck was busy early recording four saves in the first four minutes of the match.
- The first half would end 0-0 as Deck recorded eight saves in the half.
- The Cardinals came out shooting again in the second half and scored their lone goal in the 49th minute.
- Deck would not allow another goal on the night.
- In the 79th minute Spartan Sydney Kranick was inches away from tying the game up as her shot got by the Cardinal GK, but went off the crossbar.
- The Spartans were defeated 1-0.
