The Aurora University men's track team continued their indoor season by hosting and competing at the Aurora Grand Prix.
The first track final of the day included a new top 10 mark in AU history. In his first 5 kilometer race of the season,
Cris Valencia ran an 18 second personal record of 15:55.44. This time puts him at seventh in school history.
The men ran competitive 200 meter races, with four Spartans running season bests.
Danyrine White crossed the finish in 22.99, freshman
Jahrel Rimpel in 23.24,
Malik Whitehead in 23.27, and freshman
Ethan Taylor in 25.25.Â

Joshua Beechler made his collegiate mile debut with an impressive time of 4:32.70. This time is a 15- second personal best, and puts him at sixth in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference in the event.
White, Beechler,
Sam Brown, and freshman MeKhii Morris-Heron ran the 4x400 meter relay in 3:34.21, the fastest Aurora has run this season. That time puts them at second in the NACC so far this year.Â

Eli Grundman was the top collegiate finisher in the pole vault, placing third behind two unattached competitors.
Nate Bermes also had a strong finish, matching his personal record of 4.25 meters (13'11.25") which is fifth in Aurora history.Â
