Aurora University junior outside hitter
Kate Poellmann was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week as selected by a panel of the NACC Athletic Communication professionals.
Poellmann earned the award after she led AU to a 2-0 week and had 34 kills across a pair of AU road victories, a 3-0 win at Benedictine University (eight kills ) and a 3-1 win at Concordia Wisconsin (26 kills). She hit .235 while averaging 4.86 kills per set. In the fourth-and-final set against CUW, she hit .333 with 10 kills.
On the season, Poellmann is a leader on the AU offense with 3.47 kills while adding 0.28 blocks per set.
Next action for the Spartan women's volleyball team comes on Thursday, November 2 when they host Dominican University. Opening serve is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Thornton Gymnasium.
