Aurora University senior forward Selena Vargas was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week following her huge all-around performance in AU's 83-75 win over Carthage College just before the Thanksgiving break.

Vargas pulled down a double-double in the win over Carthage. She scored 16 points on perfect seven-for-seven shooting from the field, pulled down 15 rebounds and handed out five assists from her forward position. She also contributed four blocks and four steals to round out a giant stat line in the non-conference victory.

On the season, Vargas is averaging 8.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game while also adding 2.8 assists and 2,.2 steals per game. She is shooting .600 from the field and leading the Spartans in minutes played per game with 27.0..
 
Next action for the Spartan women's basketball team (5-0 overall) comes on Saturday, December 2 when they travel to Lakeland University. Opening tip-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
