A 5-3 victory results in a clean sweep for the Spartans

The Aurora University men's hockey team hit the ice for the second game of their match-up against the Spartans of University of Dubuque. The Spartans exchanged goals, but AU pulled ahead in the third, clinching a 5-3 victory and completing the sweep over Dubuque.

How it happened
- Late in the second period, Dubuque took a 1-0 lead with just two minutes remaining.
- Lukas Sedlacek quickly leveled the game, netting a goal with assists from Jackson Kirk and Chayce Schmidt in under a minute.
- In a quick turn of events, Matt Weber, released from the penalty box, scored the go-ahead goal just 10 seconds later, giving AU a 2-1 lead. 
- Four minutes later, AU capitalized on the power play play as Matt Weber and Hassan Akl set up Jacob Brockman, extending AU's lead 3-1 midway through the second period. 
- Dubuque narrowed the gap to one late in the second period, making it 3-2 AU.
- Five minutes into the third period, Dubuque leveled the score at 3-3.
- Just one minute and 10 seconds later, AU responded as Chayce Schmidt found the back of the net with assists from Lukas Sedlacek and Jakson Kirk. 
- In the last 13 seconds, Hassan Akl scored an empty netter, sealing the final score of 5-3. Jake Code and Giovanni Procopio recorded the assists.
- AU goaltender Jacob Mucitelli had 20 saves on the day.
