Spartans Drop Weekend Series At #1 Gustavus Adolphus

The Aurora University women's hockey team continued their series on the road against the top ranked Division III women's program Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans fell just short against the Gusties 1-0.

How it happened 
- The Gusties scored the game's only goal at the 9:43 mark of the first period.
- AU had an opportunity towards the final minutes of the second period with a 5v4 power play, but were unable to find the equalizer.
- The third period saw Peyton Elliott and Stephanie Schmunk each put two shots on goal to nearly tie the game at 1.
- The Spartans were unable to find the back of the net in the final period and fell 1-0.
- Tia Glube finished with 28 saves in the game including 12 in the final period.
