The Aurora University women's hockey was back in action Friday night as they hosted Adrian College in a key NCHA matchup. The Spartans and Bulldogs played a physical and nail biting matchup but AU fell 2-1 with .1 second left to play.

- AU and Adrian played to a scoreless physical first period with Spartan goaltender Tia Glube coming up with 15 saves.
- The second period kept Spartan fans on the edge of their seats as the physical play intensified.
- With 11:34 remaining in the second period, the Bulldogs struck first. 
- As minutes fell off the clock, the Spartans were unable to capitalize on any scoring opportunities and the Bulldogs led 1-0 heading into intermission. 
- To open the third, Peyton Elliott received a pass from Ellie Visser and scored the equalizer. 
- With 10:32 on the clock, goaltender Tia Glube was faced with 2 v 1 action, but made a phenomenal save to keep the Bulldogs from reclaiming the lead.
- Both teams continued to battle, taking multiple shots on goal in the final minutes of the period.
- With 0.1 seconds left in regulation, the Bulldogs fired one final shot from the lower left corner. The shot found its way past AU goalie Tia Glube who played exceptional. 
- The goal would end the game and the Spartans fell 2-1.
