The Aurora University men's volleyball team took to the home court on Tuesday night against the visiting Firebirds of Carthage College. The Spartans were defeated in a fun filled volleyball match between two of the regions top programs with AU falling 3-0..

- The first set was closely played early before the visitors took a nine point advantage at 18-9.
- Facing set point and down 24-15, AU battled back behind the serving of Rylan Wiatrowski.
- Wiatrowski had a pair of aces and got the Spartans to within 24-21 before falling 25-21.
- The second set saw the teams go back and forth with the score knotted at 15-15.
- Carthage pulled away late and defeated AU 25-20.
- AU fell behind 7-1 in the third set and battled back to within a point on numerous occasions. Each rally the Spartans had was answered by the visitors.
- The Spartans fell in the third set 25-19 and the match 3-0.
