The Aurora University women's basketball team avenged a loss earlier this season to Edgewood College by taking to the road and defeating the Eagles 68-58 on Wednesday night in Madison, Wisconsin. Spartans

- The Spartans started this contest with Edgewood much stronger than the game a few weeks back with
Gabrielle Wolff and
Crystal Rios hitting three's early on.
- A
Selena Vargas basket put AU ahead 8-6 2:07 into the contest.
- Edgewood would close the first quarter on a 12-2 run to lead AU 18-10.
- With 7:31 left to go in the first-half, AU trailed by 15 at 27-12.
- An 11-0 Spartan run started by a
Sam Barrett three and five points from
Gabrielle Wolff brought the Spartans within four at 27-23 with 3:48 to go.
- But AU would go scoreless the rest of the half and get out scored 9-0 by the Eagles to trail at halftime 36-23.
- The Spartans trailed by double digits in the third until
Jaylah Mays jumper in the paint with just under four minutes left started an AU run.
- What would be a 16-1 into the fourth by the Spartans had AU down by just four at 45-41 heading to the final quarter.

Talia Bee had seven points in the run which expanded to a 26-5 run when a
Selena Vargas free throw put the Spartans up 60-50 with 2:11 left in the game.
- The Spartans went 8-of-10 from the free throw line in the final 41 seconds to seal the win 68-58.
- After only shooting 23.1% and being out scored 36-23 in the first-half, the Spartans awoke in the second-half, allowing just 22 points while out-scoring Edgewood 45-22.
