Spartans defeat MSOE behind another McCormack offensive attack

The Aurora University Spartan men's volleyball team completed a weekend NACC sweep, winning at Milwaukee School of Engineering 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

How it happened
- AU opened up a 16-10 lead in the opening set behind three aces and eight kills with three from Adam Gebala.
- Behind a .423 attack percentage, AU won the opener 25-13 as Gebala, Matthew Nelson and Mateo Scharosch each had three kills.
- AU fell in the second set 25-22 with a negative hitting performance.
- The Spartans got back on track in the third set, leading for all but one quick early blip.
- Gebala and John McCormack fueled the third set win with four kills each.
- The middle attack from McCormack came to life in the fourth set along with the dump from setter James Karwin.
- McCormack had five kills while Karwin accounted for four in the 25-20 set and match winner.
- McCormack, Karwin and Matthew Nelson (two kills) all had perfect 1.000 attack efforts.
- AU won 3-1 in Milwaukee.
