The Aurora University men's hockey team took to the road for the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup final for the first time in program history. AU fell at Adrian College in the Haris Final by a score of 8-1.

- The Spartans came out flying and peppering the Adrian netminder and went to an early power play.
- Just seconds after the end of the AU power play, Adrian scored to take an early 1-0 lead.
- Adrian added two more first period goals to lead AU 3-0 after one period.
- Early in the second, the hosts controlled the tempo but when AU went to a power play, they struck.
- 1:15 into the extra skater, Derrick Budz scored with assists to Adam Keyes and Simon Boyko.
- Adrian answered with the first of four goals in a span of four minutes just 49 seconds after the AU goal.
- After two periods, AU trailed 7-1.
- AU spent a big portion of the third on the power play due to several unsportsmanlike penalties on Adrian but could not find the back of the net.
- When the final horn sounded, AU fell 8-1.
